Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you use GableSync:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and password (managed by Clerk). If you sign up with Google or another OAuth provider, we receive your name and email from that provider.
• Profile Information: Your selected role (Homeowner, Designer, or Contractor), subscription tier, and profile preferences.
• Project Data: Floor plans, mood boards, images, tasks, budgets, invoices, and other content you create within the platform.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, browser type, device information, and IP address. This is collected automatically for analytics and performance monitoring.
• Payment Information: Billing details are processed by Stripe and are not stored on our servers. We receive a customer ID and subscription status from Stripe.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Send important account notifications (password resets, billing alerts).
• Respond to support requests and inquiries.
• Analyze usage patterns to improve features and performance.
• Prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your project data to train AI models.

3. AI Rendering & Third-Party Processing

When you generate an AI room render, your floor plan image and text prompt are sent to a third-party AI model provider (Replicate) for processing. The image is used solely to generate your render and is not stored by the provider beyond the processing window. Generated renders are stored in your GableSync project.

4. Data Sharing

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We use Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Neon (database hosting), and Replicate (AI rendering). Each provider processes data according to their own privacy policies.
• Project Collaborators: When you invite team members to a project, they can see project data according to the permissions you set.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or court order.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in secure, encrypted PostgreSQL databases hosted on Neon. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. We implement industry-standard security practices including access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed within 30 days. Backups are purged within 90 days. We may retain anonymized, aggregated usage data for analytics purposes.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access and download your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and all associated data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Data portability — export your projects in standard formats.

8. Children's Privacy

GableSync is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
